CBC SPORTS UPDATE: July 13, 2022

Women’s Soccer

         • Conway, July 5 — Head coach Lance Gordon has reloaded the program with five new athletes at this point. The five newcomers to the program so far are:

         Karis Guthrie, from Benton where she was a four-year letterwinner for the Panthers;

         Sierra Victory, who joins the Mustangs from Vilonia, where she was also a four-year letter winner and a team captain;

         Lexie Sengmanivong from Fort Smith, where she was an outside backer for the Northside Grizzlies;

         Kenzie Parker, from Harrison where she was a two-time state champion, a two-time all-conference selection and an all-state selection, as well as being the sister of CBC alumnus Kaylee Parker; and

         Jaqueline Atilano comes to CBC from UCA after an outstanding high school career at Bryant, where she was a state champion and a second-team all-conference selection.

Volleyball

         • Conway, July 6 — New head coach Rick Brown has signed three at this point:

         Madeline Freeman from Hackett where she was a two-time state champion, a three-time all-state selection, a two-time all-tournament team selection, the Finals MVP in 2020 at the 3A level and led Hackett in Aces, Kills and Assists as a senior;

         Jaylin Rhoades from Bauxite where she was an all-conference selection twice for the Miners; and

         Faith Stone, a native of Bryant who comes to CBC after playing her freshman year at Belhaven in 2019, where during that season, she recorded 103 kills, an .084 attack percentage and 10 total blocks in 77 sets for the Blazers.

Women’s Basketball

         • Conway, July 7 — Coach Lyle Middleton has added two players to his class for 2022-23:

         Emma Bates from Paragould, where she was an outstanding guard for Greene County Tech, and

         Olivia Lambrigtsen, a native of Illinois, who joins the Mustangs from Kishwaukee College in Ill., where she averaged 15 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists per game last season while shooting 44% from the floor and 74% at the free-throw line, earning first-team all-NJCAA Region IV honors last year as well as first-team all-Arrowhead Conference honors.
