Mustang Classic Golf Tournament to Benefit CBC Athletics

Central Baptist College is excited to announce the 2026 date for the Mustang Classic Golf Tournament, scheduled for Monday, August 24, at Greystone Country Club in Cabot. This annual event serves as one of the key fundraising opportunities for CBC Athletics and provides a wonderful day of fellowship, friendly competition, and support for our student-athletes.

The Mustang Classic has become a valued tradition for many of our alumni, friends, business partners, and supporters. Each year, participants gather not only to enjoy a great day on the golf course but also to invest in the lives of the student-athletes who represent Central Baptist College with excellence both on and off the field of competition.

The tournament will feature both a morning and afternoon session, with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Flight assignments will be determined based on the number of team entries received. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m. for all participants. Teams will compete in a four-person scramble format, making the event enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. The registration fee is $600 per team and includes golf, lunch, and prizes. Teams that register early will also be entered for a chance to win additional door prizes.

At CBC, athletics play a significant role in the overall student experience. Our student-athletes are challenged to pursue excellence in competition while growing academically and spiritually in a Christ-centered environment. Through participation in athletics, students develop leadership skills, discipline, teamwork, and character traits that will serve them well throughout their lives and careers.

Events like the Mustang Classic help provide valuable resources that support our athletic programs and student-athletes. The generosity of sponsors and participants allows CBC to continue investing in facilities, equipment, travel opportunities, and other needs that contribute to a quality athletic experience. More importantly, these investments help us continue our mission of preparing students to live their lives with a commitment to Christian faith and service.

In addition to team participation, sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses and individuals who wish to partner with Central Baptist College Athletics. Sponsorships provide meaningful visibility while demonstrating a commitment to supporting the next generation of student leaders.

I would like to personally invite alumni, community members, local businesses, churches, and friends of CBC to join us for this special event. Whether you assemble a team, become a sponsor, or simply help spread the word, your support makes a lasting impact on the lives of our students.

The registration deadline is August 17. The tournament will be held at Greystone Country Club, located at 57 Greystone Boulevard in Cabot.

For additional information, to register a team, or to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, visit cbc.edu/events/golfclassic or contact Lyle Middleton at lmiddleton@cbc.edu.

We look forward to seeing you on the course as we come together to support CBC Athletics and continue investing in the future of our Mustang student-athletes.
