ARTL to Celebrate the End of Legalized Abortion in Arkansas

Arkansas Right to Life (ARTL) plans to publish a signature ad in the Sunday, June 25, statewide edition of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the end of legalized abortion in the state.

On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson overturned the court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision legalizing abortion in the United States. The decision returned the authority to states, and abortion was immediately made illegal in Arkansas due to the state’s trigger law.

“Arkansas Right to Life is inviting pro-life Arkansans to claim victory in this important decision by including their name on a signature ad that will show their support for life and the end of legal abortion in Arkansas,” said Rose Mimms, ARTL executive director. “To offset the cost of placing the ad, we suggest a donation of $5 for individuals, $25 for families or $100 for churches/organizations to add your name to hundreds of other pro-life Arkansans in claiming the victory.”

Mimms said those wishing to add their signature to the ad may visit artl.org/donate to participate (scroll to Claim the Victory!) or call (501) 663-4237 for more information. The deadline to participate is June 15. Donations to offset the cost of the ad are encouraged, but not required.

Arkansas Right to Life is the state affiliate of the National Right to Life Committee, the oldest and largest pro-life organization. For more information, visit artl.org.
