CBC PROFILE: Board of Trustees Meeting

      The CBC Board of Trustees gathered on campus Saturday morning, March 1. The standing Academic and Finance Board Committees met to conduct business and hear recommendations from CBC administrators. Following the committee meetings, the full Board of Trustees convened.

      President Terry Kimbrow opened the Board meeting with Scripture reading and prayer. All members of the CBC Executive Leadership Team and the Faculty Council Moderator gave reports related to his/her area of responsibility, and each committee secretary gave a report of his/her respective committee meeting to the full board. The following are some highlights of the Board meeting:

      • Heard a report from Executive Vice President Dr. Jeremy Langley.

      • Heard a report from Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Claire Tucker.

      • Approved the following revised course description — ACC 3305 Accounting Information Systems.

      • Approved the following new course proposals — CHM 3100 Undergraduate Research in Chemistry I, CHM 3101 Undergraduate Research in Chemistry II and CHM 3102 Undergraduate Research in Chemistry III.

      • Approved the following new policies — Faculty and Chair Teaching Load and Overload Assignment Policy and Seat Capacity Policy for Fall and Spring Terms.

      • Heard a report from Faculty Council Moderator Amber Strain.

      • Heard an update on Housing.

      • Heard an Enrollment Report.

      • Approved the Final Audit Report Review for 2023-2024.

      • Approved the July-December 2024 Operating Results.

      • Approved the BMA Promise Scholarship revision.

      • Approved the CBC Tuition Remission Policy revision.
