• North Little Rock, April 1 — Hosting a non-American Midwest Conference (AMC) opponent for the final time this season, CBC played a matinee doubleheader against the College of the Ozarks (C of O) Bobcats. CBC (21-16) split with C of O (16-18), taking game one 13-2 before losing game two 16-4 to drop the season series 3-1.
• Little Rock, April 7 — Opening an AMC home series on a Monday for the first time this season, CBC hosted the #23 Spartans of Missouri Baptist (MBU) at the Pulaski Academy Baseball Complex. CBC (21-18, 17-9 AMC) lost both ends to MBU (26-9, 21-5 AMC) 3-2 and 19-3.
Softball
• Hannibal, Mo., April 7 — Entering the day in sole possession of first place in the AMC, CBC took on the Trojans of Hannibal-LaGrange (HLGU) at Veterans’ Memorial Stadium. CBC (20-16, 9-1 AMC) split with HLGU (6-20, 1-7 AMC), losing game one 7-6 before winning game two 8-1.
Men’s Golf
• Clifton, Tenn., April 7 — Returning to the course after a two-week absence, CBC teed off for the Freed-Hardeman Lions Spring Classic at Ross Creek Landing. CBC opened with a 329 and is in 10th place, 32 shots behind the leaders. Individually, Jakub Slapal posted the best round for the Mustangs, shooting a 76. Cooper Hermann was next with a 79, while Preston Nestorenko shot an 86, Jack Higginbotham shot an 88 and Gustavo Bello shot a 90.
