A few weeks back, I began noticing all the volcanoes and earthquakes that seem to be occurring almost every day. All over the world, the planet seems to be in anguish and pain, which leads us to the current distress going on among nations.
One thing that caught my eye was a post about how many of the Arab nations have decided to support Iran. This immediately reminded me of the prophecy in Ezekiel 38-39. It is amazing how it reads like our daily news.
Then a report came out that Russia was planning to send nukes to Iran. Bingo, it appears things are setting up for the war against Gog and Magog. The nations from the north have revealed their intentions to defend the enemies of Israel. For the child of God, this is a good sign, one that we have longed to experience for centuries.
I encourage us, as Christians, to realize our time to impact the lost is quickly slipping away. All my life, I have had people say the USA would not be around or at least not important in the end times, yet I realize the lack of mention does not mean they will not be present. Perhaps God will use our country to bring about His will in this world.
Like my good friend once said, “I have quit looking for the sign and am now listening for the sound.” May we be found faithful to spread the message of Jesus to all to whom we have an opportunity to do so.
From Our Missionaries

Ebenezer, West Little Rock: Ruben Isturiz writes, “Last week we had two events where Ebenezer’s gifts of service really shone.
“The first was our annual retreat with the Arkansas Travelers Hispanic players. Once a season, we organize a retreat where we present the gospel to Seattle Mariners prospects. This year, we had the opportunity to use a lakeside cabin, which allowed us to enjoy fellowship and share a Bible study on the topic of what happens after death. I am very grateful to Ebenezer for preparing the food that day and sharing it with the players.
“The second event was preparing the baby shower for the Rico family. Ezra Caleb is on his way! Together with the sisters at Ebenezer, we planned and developed all the details, from the decorations and food to the guest list. It was an excellent time. For those who don’t know, the Rico family are my assistants at Ebenezer through the Silas Connection program, and they have been a great help.
“In addition to these two events, we had our regular Discovery Bible Study (DBS) activities and the Deep Changes workshop on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Once again, I thank God for what He is doing at Ebenezer, where people are serving.
“Please pray for us! On July 6, we will go to the lake and baptize two new brothers in Christ. Thank you for your support in prayer and offerings. To God be the glory!”

Faith Chapel, Flippin: Johnny Shew writes, “We had a great week at Faith Chapel! Some were out sick and some traveling — a normal summer Sunday, but we had a pretty good number and a great time of worship with several faithful return visitors and two first-time visitors.
“We are planning a church yard sale on July 19 to benefit the children’s playground equipment fund. Members and others are donating items to be sold with all proceeds going toward the playground account. We will also use it as an outreach to introduce ourselves to those in the community that may not have visited us yet. If you are in the neighborhood, stop by! You might find something you need and help the kids at the same time.
“I was able to go to Conway last week to officiate my niece’s wedding. It was beautiful and they are a great couple. I loved doing it for them, and I got to see a lot of other family members while I was there.
“The classroom addition is coming along nicely, a lot of work got done last week on ductwork, which is also the main focus this week.
“I thank you all again for your prayers and support. God is blessing us through you, and we thank Him for you!”

Faith Journey, Benton: Bryan Clay writes, “This past week at Faith Journey has been a great reminder of how God moves when His people come together seeking His presence.
In just seven days, we’ve gathered for two worship services, two small groups and three Bible studies — each one full of spiritual growth and true fellowship. One of the highlights has been the growth in our small group ministries. Though our women’s small group is new and has only had three meetings, they’ve already matched the men’s attendance. In true Faith Journey style, this sparked some friendly competition! The men have now challenged the women to set a higher attendance record, and whichever group has the highest attendance at the next meeting will be served dinner by the other. It’s a fun way to build relationships and encourage participation.
“Our Sunday services were well-attended, both in the morning and evening, and we continue to see growth in our children’s ministry. What a blessing to see young hearts excited to learn about Jesus! This week’s children’s lesson focused on servanthood, drawing from the powerful example of Jesus washing His disciples’ feet. Our kids didn’t just learn about the story — they lived it. They took part in a foot-washing activity, practicing what it means to serve one another in love. We are thankful for each person who makes up this mission family. As we continue to grow in number and in faith, we are reminded that every meeting, every lesson and every act of service matters.”

Misión Gracia Soberana (Sovereign Grace), NWA:Roberto Marcelletti writes, “We continue to classify the donations for the garage sale that is scheduled for July 26. On Wednesday morning, Iris, Nani and Ángeles were setting prices and classifying the clothes and other objects we are going to offer.
“We thank the Lord for what He is doing through our mission project of giving English classes now — not only on Tuesdays, but another class opened on Fridays.
“Thursday, our small group in Springdale met with good attendance. The theme was “Reaching the Lost.” During July and August, we will emphasize evangelism to prepare the brethren to go out into the world to take the gospel.
“On Sundays, we have the blessing that almost the same group that comes for the service arrives early to be in Sunday School. We ask for your prayers for the Hispanic community that is very affected by the migratory situation of the country. People, especially Hispanics, are afraid to leave their homes as they do not feel safe. It is not easy for them to accept an invitation to go to church or a study group.”
