By Anthony Crocker, President • BMA of Arkansas
Greetings once again to the churches of the BMA of Arkansas. As we approach the meeting, we encourage our churches to remember that a valuable resource is available on the Baptist Trumpet website at BaptistTrumpet.com/BMAArk2025. There you will find links to all the resources you need for our meeting.
I am very thankful for the officers serving with me. Last year, we delegated a few of the meeting’s responsibilities to spread the load and aid leadership development within the officer body. As president, my primary responsibility will remain to preside over the meeting. Our first vice president, Mike Book, will communicate with our clerk and the Credentials Committee to coordinate any meeting with petitioning churches. And our second vice president, Derrick Bremer, will once again assist with vendor registration. Below you will find smaller reports from each of them.
In this issue of the Baptist Trumpet, you will find a preliminary schedule for the meeting. This year, we will be using a single-day format. Our meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6. An amended final schedule with room assignments will be published prior to the meeting.
Every BMA of Arkansas church that has enrolled before the annual meeting is allowed three voting messengers who must be members of that congregation. Additionally, if your church intends to present any recommendations or changes to our Principles of Cooperation, we kindly ask that you submit them in writing to the clerk and me prior to the First General Session.
As in all our past meetings, we encourage our churches to consider increasing their contributions to the Minute Fund. Rising costs through the years have strained these funds, and your consideration and generosity would be greatly appreciated.
From First Vice President Mike Book
Petitioning Churches will find information on the registration form. Please fill out the petitionary section and submit your registration form to the clerk by Oct. 31, so we will be prepared to meet with each church. Petitioning Churches must be interviewed by the associational officers and the Credentials Committee before being recommended to the churches. The meeting is scheduled to immediately follow the Missionary Committee Meeting, which will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6.
From Second Vice President Derrick A. Bremer
If your ministry or organization would like to reserve a vendor table, please complete the online form at tiny.cc/bmaarkvendor.
When you’ve submitted the form, I will follow up with you as the meeting approaches with additional details. If you have any questions about vendor tables, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly at derrick@dsmbc.org. May the Lord bless you and keep you. Lord willing, we look forward to seeing you all on Nov. 6.
