The Arkansas Galilean Fall Fellowship will meet at Camp Beaverfork (159 Beaverfork Road, Conway), Dec.5-6. Registration will begin Friday at 7 p.m. in the tabernacle. The $25 camp fee per person is due upon arrival. Make checks payable to Arkansas State Galileans. Breakfast will be provided at camp, and we anticipate finishing before noon on Dec. 6. While the Arkansas State Galileans host this event, we invite you to join us, even if you do not have a Galilean ministry in your church. All young men (ages 9-18) are invited to participate in this event.
Our theme for 2025 is “God Is with Us (Matt. 28:20, Rom. 8:31) — Through Anxiety (Phil. 4:6), Through Pain (Isaiah 53:4-5) and Through Fear (Isaiah 41:10).” “God Is with Us” serves as the main theme, while the three sub-themes will be the focus for each meeting of the year — “Through Anxiety” (spring meeting), “Through Pain” (summer meeting) and “Through Fear” (fall meeting).
The speaker for the meeting is Duffy Guyton. For more than 30 years, Duffy Guyton has been grateful to serve the Lord through a wide range of ministry opportunities — from the local church to para-church work to Christian higher education. Today, he serves as vice president for Advancement at Central Baptist College, where his passion for people, the church and Christian education come together in a unique way.
Born and raised in West Monroe, La., Duffy went on to study at Dallas Baptist University, earning both a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education and a Master of Education in Higher Education. He later completed his Master of Divinity at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Cordova, Tenn.
Before entering long-term ministry, Duffy also enjoyed a career in baseball while playing professionally in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system, scouting with the Kansas City Royals and coaching in the college ranks for 15 years. Those experiences shaped his discipline, leadership and love for mentoring young people.
The greatest blessing of his life has been 33½ years of marriage to his wife, Dawn, who has supported and encouraged him through every chapter of their ministry journey. They are the proud parents of four adult sons, blessed with four daughters-in-law and delighted grandparents of two beautiful grandchildren.
Campers will need warm clothing for outdoor activities, a sleeping bag or bedroll (bunk beds in cabins), a pillow, a Bible and spending money (drinks are 50¢ and candy is $1). The officers and I look forward to seeing a group of boys and men from your church on Dec. 5. For further information, please contact me at dwilltwelve@gmail.com or (501) 336-4586 (call or text). The event program is available on the National Galileans website, Galileans.com.
