Special Emphasis 2026

Thank you for your faithful service. It is a privilege to serve alongside you in the work of the gospel through the Baptist Missionary Association.

If you’ve ever…

Prayed for a missionary family after reading their report in the Trumpet
Been reminded you’re not alone in ministry
Learned about a ministry or mission you didn’t know existed
Read an obituary and thanked God for a life of faithful service
Passed along something you saw in the Trumpet to someone else
Been reminded that your church is part of something bigger

…then you already know what the Baptist Trumpet does. It connects you to the mission.

For more than 85 years, the Trumpet has served as Your Connection to the Mission — keeping God’s people informed, inspired, and involved in what He is doing through our churches, institutions, and shared associational work.

Paul thanked God for the church at Philippi for their “partnership in the gospel from the first day until now” (Phil. 1:3-5 ESV). That partnership — that shared connection — is what the Trumpet quietly but faithfully helps sustain week after week.

Special Emphasis 2026 will help us strengthen that connection for the next generation by equipping the Trumpet for the future. Our goal is $15,000, designated for digital expansion, software, and equipment upgrades, to help us reach those who may never read a printed paper without abandoning those who depend on print to remain connected.

This year’s emphasis is From Connection to Commitment — inviting a response to what God is already doing among us. As members read the Trumpet, attend associational meetings, and engage with the ministries of our association, they pray more intentionally, understand the work of our association more clearly, and commit more deeply.

Here’s how you can help:

Pray for the Trumpet and the churches, pastors, missionaries, and institutions it serves.
Encourage involvement in associational life — reading, attending meetings, and getting involved.
Consider a Special Emphasis gift to show that you understand the value of staying connected to what God is doing through our associational work.
