As we approach the close of our fiscal year on August 31, we’ve now received $21,030 toward our $30,000 Special Emphasis goal. I’m deeply grateful for every church and individual who has given to help us connect the people of the BMA with the mission God has given us.
Our goal is for regular support from churches and individuals, along with subscription fees, to cover our production costs (everything it takes to put the paper together) and post-production costs (everything it takes to get the paper to our readers). When that happens, Special Emphasis funds can go entirely toward important projects and needs beyond regular expenses.
Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to meet that goal when regular support drops below what we need. That reality is why we have had to raise subscription rates in recent years. These decisions are never made lightly — at the end of each fiscal year, we reevaluate and consider all options before making any change.
This year, Special Emphasis funds are helping us:
• Transition to a weekly 12-page paper.
• Cover increased salary and training costs for our new associate editor, John Herring, who joined us full-time on June 25 after Allan Eakin transitioned to full-time pastoring.
• Offset increased printing, postage and other operating costs.
• Pay large annual expenses like building insurance.
We truly love being Your Connection to the Mission — Informed. Inspired. Involved. Every week, we work hard to bring you timely coverage from the BMA’s only weekly newspaper, telling the stories that connect churches, ministries and missions. But we can’t do it without you.
Would you prayerfully consider helping us close the gap in these final weeks? Every gift — large or small — moves us closer to reaching the goal and sustaining this ministry.

Thank you for reading, for giving, and for standing with us in telling the story of what God is doing through the BMA. Thanks to these recent Donors (Some of these were included in previous totals but not yet listed)
