The Dangme people are an ethnic group primarily living in the West African country of Ghana. They are known for their rich traditions, vibrant festivals and strong sense of community. The Dangme language plays a central role in preserving their heritage. Culturally, they value storytelling, music, dance and farming, which are deeply woven into their way of life.
While many Dangme practice Christianity today, traditional beliefs involving ancestral reverence and local spiritual customs still influence parts of their culture. Lifeword partner, Bro. Timothy Abroso produces a devotional in the Dangme language titled Wami Munyu (“Living Water”). Please pray for the work of Bro. Timothy and those many in Ghana would hear the message of the gospel and come to know Christ as their Savior.
