As our BMA of Arkansas family gathers this week, I know I’ll see familiar faces, handshakes and laughter — and I’ll think, this is what the Baptist Trumpet is all about: connection, community and the stories that remind us we’re part of something bigger than ourselves. Every handshake, every testimony, every story shared during our time at CBC will echo through the pages of this ministry.
Because of your prayers, giving and encouragement, the Trumpet continues doing what it was created to do — keeping God’s people informed, inspired, and involved. Every week’s issue beats with the same heartbeat that brings us together at this meeting — stories of how God is moving among His people:
• State Missions updates share how church planters are reaching new communities across Arkansas.
• Central Baptist College reports how students’ lives are being transformed through Christ-centered education.
• Student Ministry Matters challenges us to invest in the next generation of leaders and disciple-makers.
• And every week we share national ministry reports, missionary updates and news from the broader Christian community, all reminding us that we’re part of something much bigger than ourselves.
Every story — from the mission field to the classroom — reminds us that God is still at work through the faithfulness of His people. That faithfulness continues to show up in powerful ways.
We’ve been encouraged to see God at work. Several churches and individuals have given special offerings in recent weeks, and one WMA group even selected the Baptist Trumpet as their next quarterly project. Those gifts often arrive at just the right time — sometimes right when the bills are due or a need feels impossible. Each one is a reminder that God always provides through His people.
We’re encouraged — but we’re still climbing. The work is ongoing, and the mission is worth every step. The truth is, the Baptist Trumpet can only continue sharing these stories if churches and individuals like you continue to believe in the mission — that staying connected to the work of God through our association really matters. Printing and postage costs have continued to rise, and while we’ve managed carefully and stayed current, that’s only been possible because of God’s provision through His people. Our goal isn’t simply to keep the presses running — it’s to keep our churches connected to the mission we share.
Every prayer, every monthly gift, every new subscriber — each one makes a tangible difference. When you support the Trumpet, you’re not just helping produce a newspaper; you’re strengthening the very network that helps our churches stay united in purpose and mission.
If you’re not yet receiving the Trumpet, let’s change that today. It’s one of the simplest, most meaningful ways to stay connected — and to help your church stay connected — to what God is doing through the BMA. Each subscription is more than mail in a box — it’s a lifeline of connection to what God is doing through our shared ministries and through people like you who believe in this mission. Imagine if every household in every BMA church stayed informed, inspired and involved — imagine what God could do through that kind of unity!
As we meet together this week, I simply want to say thank you — and invite you to keep partnering with us. The story of what God is doing through the BMA is still being written, and the Baptist Trumpet exists to help tell it — week after week, generation after generation. I believe the best chapters are still ahead — and I can’t wait to see what God writes next.
“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now” (Phil. 1:3-5).
I thank God for your fellowship in the gospel — and for helping keep our churches, pastors and ministries connected to the mission we share. Let’s keep telling His story — together.
