Central Baptist College is asking churches to set aside this Sunday, or another day which best fits the church calendar, to pray for CBC. Churches are also encouraged to take a on-time offering for the annual fund program, "Gifts that Transform."
The Mt. Vernon District Brotherhood will meet Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Central Baptist Church in Hughes will host the gathering.

Russell Baptist Church will host a gospel concert featuring Lisa Nelson on Sunday, Oct. 2. The days events include Sunday School @ 10 a.m., Worship @ 11 a.m., noon potluck, followed by the concert.
