From Stan — Christmas is a great festival for Filipinos, but we have always been surprised that Dec. 25 is not that celebrated. December 26 and December 31 are really big days. This year, the BMA Bible College choir will have several Christmas presentations — chapel hour for the Carey Academy students, BMANI Grand Thanksgiving and Campus Event on Dec. 6 before finals. Look for highlights in next month’s Christmas edition. We love you all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.
From Donna — I had a wonderful time visiting Israel. I was afraid it wouldn’t be as exciting for Stan since he had traveled there before, but 80% of the sights we visited he had never seen. We are indebted to our guides and tour leader Danny Bullock.
In January, we will begin the three-month process of implementing our exit strategy. This is an important part of modern missionary missiology. No missionary would want their work to end when they leave. Would you pray with us as we reach this stage of our work of “finishing well” for God?
Darlene Carey Christian Academy — School has been going great at the academy. We’ve been cleared to have full-week classes now, so it seems things are even busier. With this new institution sharing our campus comes lots of parking, traffic, sharing spaces and facilities challenges. But the excitement of this ministry makes the challenges seem small. We absolutely love it all.
We are excited to have our first mission organization of a work we sponsored. It has been a labor of love, and we are grateful that our Lord has allowed the mission to grow numerically and spiritually to the point that they are now a New Testament church. We are thankful to First Baptist Church for extending the arm and supporting the mission as its mother church.
