I would like to extend a special invitation to all young men (even if you do not have a Galilean ministry in your church), ages 9-18, to fellowship with the Arkansas Galileans on March 3-4 at Central Baptist College. The plans for the overnight retreat and basketball tournament, including the schedule, can be downloaded at galileans.com.
We are excited to have Chris Vines, the visionary leader for the SOAR Student Conference and pastor of discipleship at Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope, as our speaker for the Friday evening of worship and praise that begins at 8:30 p.m. After the session, we will enjoy some pizza before the traditional Galileans (young men) vs. Sponsors basketball game. You don’t want to miss it!
Even if you only want to come for the benefit basketball tournament that begins at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, you are still invited! (Please arrive by 8 a.m. so we can get everyone organized for the tournament.) There is a $5 charge for each boy who plays in the tournament to fund the Arkansas Galilean CBC Nixon/Hornaday Endowed Scholarship at CBC.
The tournament will be a 3-on-3 format, and the teams will be formed before the tournament starts to include boys from different churches on each team. The tournament will have two age divisions, one for boys 9-13 and another for boys 14-18.
