The Arkansas WMA is hosting its annual Ladies Retreat at CBC on Friday evening, Sept. 22 and Saturday, Sept. 23. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday’s schedule begins at 8:30 a.m. with registration and goes until 3 p.m.
Our theme this year has been “Pursuing Hospitality” and our theme for the retreat is “Gather and Give.” We have invited Amy Hannon, owner of Euna Mae’s Kitchen Store in the Bentonville area, to be our keynote speaker! She will be speaking from her book, Gather and Give, which the first 150 registrants will receive free. We will be blessed to learn the Biblical mandate about hospitality. You will also receive a retreat T-shirt and lunch on Saturday. Friday night fun night will be different this year with a “make and take” item you will be happy to show off and use for years to come. Angela Wisely and her team will lead us to God’s throne in worship.
When you register online, you will be asked to provide your T-shirt size, whether you plan to attend Friday night’s festivities and if you have any food allergies. The cost this year is $60 per lady, which is a great deal considering what all you receive!
If you need (or want) to spend the night in Conway on Friday night, we have an agreement with Comfort Inn and Suites on Sanders Road. All the rooms we have reserved are for two queen beds, so bring your friends and have a slumber party on Friday night. Our silent auction this year centers around our theme of “Gather and Give.” We are asking everyone who wants to participate to bring something that would assist you in practicing hospitality — something like a recipe with some items needed to make that item, some kitchen items, etc. Be creative!
