Janelle G. Seat, 71 of Jonesboro, passed away Feb. 26. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where her husband of 54 years, Don Seat, serves as pastor. He previously served as pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Jonesboro and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Janelle was an active member of Women’s Missionary Association. She served as the pianist/organist for the churches Don pastored. She also developed children’s programs for Vacation Bible School and was a member of the Oak Grove Extension Club.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Kandi (Robert) Rodriguez and Elisa (Phillip) Kifer of Jonesboro; and three grandchildren.
Services were held on March 2 at Emerson Memorial Chapel, with Jerry Jolly and Randy Stimach officiating, and burial was at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Emerson Funeral Home (emersonfuneralhome.com).
