Walter Clyde “W.C.” Malone, 86 of Conway, passed away April 21. He surrendered to the ministry on Aug. 16, 1957, at BMA Church Camp in Latham Springs, Texas and was ordained in 1959. He pastored 11 churches, including 9 in Arkansas and 1 each in Louisiana and Oregon, before his retirement Aug. 21, 2005. He celebrated 50 years of ministry in August 2008 and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Conway.
Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Betty Ezell Malone of Conway; two sons, Mark (Heather) Malone and Monty (Melanie) Malone, both of Conway; two brothers, Roy (Betty) Malone of Pineville, La. and Bryce (Linda) Malone of Baton Rouge, La.; five granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 25, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Conway. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Shiloh Cemetery in Waldo.
