For 75 years, BMA Global has been at the forefront of spreading the gospel, a mission that began with a single missionary family sent by a small group of BMA churches. What started as one faithful step quickly became a movement as others answered God’s call to take the gospel to the world. Many of these missionaries came from humble beginnings — small towns, small congregations — but their vision was anything but small. They had encountered a big God, and they embraced His great challenge: to make disciples of all nations.
These individuals were not recruited; they volunteered. Compelled by a deep personal calling, they sought the support of BMA churches and set out on a path filled with sacrifice. They moved their families to distant lands, facing hardships, loneliness, illness and even threats to their lives. Some paid the ultimate price, laying down their lives in service to their mission. Yet, through their sacrifices, God has richly blessed their work.
The impact has been extraordinary. Over the decades, thousands — perhaps even millions — have come to know Christ. Countless disciples have been made, hundreds of churches planted and entire communities transformed. Families have been saved, and lives have been forever changed by the power of the gospel.
Today, BMA Global missionaries serve in 65 countries, with more than 400 new missions actively growing into vibrant churches. These churches will continue to plant new congregations, ensuring the cycle of faith continues for generations to come.
As BMA Global looks ahead, the mission remains clear. The need is great, and the opportunities are boundless. Innovative strategies are in place to equip new missionaries for success, with the goal of reaching millions more for Christ. If the Lord’s return tarries, BMA America will celebrate 100 years of ministry in 25 years. The question remains: what will future generations say about this moment in history? Will they celebrate our faithfulness or mourn missed opportunities?
The call remains urgent. Faithful gifts on World Missions Day enable BMA Global to continue its mission — to send, equip, disciple and invest in new fields. There are billions who have yet to hear the message of Christ’s love.
For 75 years, the challenge given by Christ has not changed: Preach the gospel to the world. Plant new churches. Make disciples.
And for 75 years, the BMA has answered that call. BMA Global continues to provide a way for people to respond because Jesus is worthy of our sacrifice. He is worthy of our obedience. He is still the Light of the World.
“Here am I. Send me.”
