The Preaching Lab will host a “Late Night Lab” on Wednesday, April 23, beginning 30 minutes after the last session of the night in the student center of Pathway Baptist Church. This Lab will focus on the pastor’s role as a counselor. Are you a Christian counselor, integrated counselor, biblical counselor, or nouthetic counselor? What do these terms even mean? In today’s world, the label “Christian counseling” can mean almost anything, which suggests that the term holds almost no meaning.
So, how do we, as pastors, navigate the complex field of counseling and therapy? This Lab will provide insight, encouragement and resources for your role as a pastor. The Lab will feature a lecture presented by ACBC-certified Biblical Counselor Adam Thomas. After the lecture, there will be time for a Q&A session with Biblical Counselors Bart Herrington, Dr. Brian Sheppard and Russel Threet.
