As I shared at the state meeting in November, our theme this year is “Your Connection to the Mission: Informed. Inspired. Involved.” The Baptist Trumpet is distinct from ministries like State Missions, Central Baptist College and local churches, yet we serve as the vital link that connects churches to these transformative efforts — helping spread the gospel, plant churches and change lives for Christ.
Our role is simple but essential:
• We keep you informed about the work of the Baptist Missionary Association — from local ministries to international missions.
• We inspire readers to live out Christ’s mission for His honor and glory.
• We encourage involvement in BMA ministries at every level.
How You Can Help
Each year, we rely on March and April Special Emphasis to fund additional expenses beyond our regular budget. This year, we face two key financial needs:
• Staff Transition — Associate Editor Allan Eakin is moving to a reduced role due to his full-time pastoral responsibilities, requiring us to hire and train a new staff member.
• Expanded Coverage — We are now producing a 12-page paper each week (which we hope you’re enjoying as much as we love creating it!).
To meet these needs, we have set a Special Emphasis goal of $30,000. Your support will ensure the Baptist Trumpet continues serving as Your Connection to the Mission.
