For years, the gender warriors, aided and abetted by much of the medical establishment, mainstream media, various courts at the state and federal levels, academics, leftist politicians, bureaucrats and many of the large and influential corporations, spread bogus “facts” about gender dysphoria plaguing children. They assured us that the torment suffered by those young people made it imperative that we “follow the medical, scientific and psychological empiricism.”
We were told that interventions like puberty blockers and realignment surgery would immeasurably improve the quality of life of these young people and save their lives. Instead, the inverse is actually true. The so-called remedies to save these children call for draconian measures such as irreversible sterilization, total mastectomies on girls, other body disfigurement, genital mutilation and psychological harm that often leads to suicidal ideation and actual suicide.
It has taken too long in coming, but at last a potent backlash from parents, doctors, researchers, and even courts is calling out the gender fanatics and revealing their true agenda and the fake medical, scientific and psychological “evidence” that purportedly supports their objectives. Eventually, they will be assigned a legacy like that of Margaret Sanger, who championed racially biased eugenics and founded Planned Parenthood.
The following bullet points are evidence of this backlash and the good resulting from it:
• More than half the states have legislatively banned medical interventions with minors, such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and gender reassignment surgery — all in attempts to alter a child’s sexual biology to conform with what the child “thinks” or is led to believe is his or her true gender identity.
• In 2023, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld an Alabama statute banning the “gender-affirming care” protocols for minors described above.
• A month after the court decision upholding Alabama’s law, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals refused to invalidate a Tennessee law similar to Alabama’s law. This case made it to the U.S. Supreme Court, and they upheld the Tennessee law in the L.W. v. Skrmetti case.
• On August 6 of this year, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Oklahoma’s ban on gender transition procedures for minors was constitutional, basing its decision on the Supreme Court’s Skrmetti case.
• On August 12, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals in the case of Brandt v. Griffin upheld our Arkansas law banning these procedures on minors as constitutional and well within the rights of state’s citizens to protect its most vulnerable members.
The objective and reliable studies support this recent trend. In writing for the majority in the Brandt v. Griffin (Arkansas case), Judge William Benton stated that the district court found evidence that these procedures pose risks for minors. Some of those risks were pointed out in a May 2025 report from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) — impaired bone density accrual, infertility, risk of stroke and changes in cholesterol and blood thickness. It is accepted that well over ninety percent of adolescents will grow out of their gender dysphoria and accept and adjust to their biological gender.
What it all comes down to is that young people experiencing gender dysphoria need mental health services and not pharmaceutical and surgical interventions that cannot be reversed and can cause a lifetime of suffering and a ton of regrets.
Listen, if a mentally competent person 18 years old or older chooses to enter into any of the gender reassignment treatments or procedures, that is his or her decision to make. It may end up rendering some very unfortunate outcomes — and it probably will — but it is within their personal autonomy to take those steps.
We can be confident that there is no going back — only progress in protecting our most precious assets — our children. It is gratifying that Americans have come to their senses and are reasserting biblical truth about gender and sexuality. As recorded in Genesis 1:27 NKJV, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female He created them.”
It is lamentable that so many children’s lives have been severely damaged or destroyed for the foolish quest some have to go one up on God. We should not tarry in going forward with the momentum that has been generated. There is not a moment to lose in taking every available lawful step to continue abolishing this horrid wrong done to our children.
Two biological sexes, two genders, how simple and clear. Why must man always try to supplant God’s truth with his own counterfeit wisdom? He is constantly seeking to become his own god. And we know — don’t we — that that never ends well. Proverbs 14:12 says something about that. “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”
