Lifeword Featured Language: Tagalog

Nestled in the Asia Pacific region, the Philippines is a nation of over 7,000 islands and more than 118 million people, rich in cultural and linguistic diversity. Though Catholicism remains the dominant faith, many Filipinos still blend old traditions and spiritual influences, leaving a deep need for the truth and hope found only in Jesus Christ. Yet, unlike many of its neighboring nations, the Philippines is open and receptive to the gospel — a beacon of light in a region where many still walk in spiritual darkness. Through Lifeword’s Asia Pacific team, led by Bro. Pete Etabag, God is using 53 FM radio stations and online broadcasting to share the message of Jesus in the Tagalog language (and many other languages spoken in the region), reaching hearts in remote villages and beyond with the life-changing power of the gospel.

Pray With Us

Please join our US Lifeword Staff in praying for the following:

      • Pray as Lifeword seeks to expand gospel offerings into various subcultures of the East Slavic languages, such as Russian, Ukrainian, and others.

      • Pray for Lifeword partner Lori Cline as she continues her battle with cancer.

      • Every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Yalanda Merrell hosts FOLLOW: Conversations on Facebook Live. We explore various topics about who Jesus is and what it means to follow Him. Please pray that this show will be a blessing for those who watch it and that it will bring people closer to the Lord. Go to facebook.com/lifeword to join!

      • We wrapped up filming for our new children’s program, Lifeword’s Little Learners, this month. Now it’s time for post-production. We hope to share this exciting new project in 2026. Join us in prayer for the children who will learn about Jesus and His love through this show!

      • Pray for open doors to further our gospel footprint around the world, pray for abundant resources to continue doing the work the Lord has called us to, and pray for fruit that will remain wherever a Lifeword broadcast is heard.
