• Quebec — Since last month, we have had new people commit to participating in Bible studies. We have two candidates for water baptism. We received a letter from a husband and wife, as well as a letter from another lady who has been attending for some time, but her husband, Philippe, has not yet been baptized. Good news: Mr. Bernier attended church last week and was very happy. The church is growing little by little, recognizing that the Lord gives the increase. Winter is coming, and it’s cold for door-to-door visits, making it hard on the ears and fingers. Pray that our visitation group stays committed to seeing God work among Catholic people.
Haiti — It’s heartbreaking to hear our people falling into such misery again. Talking to our pastor in Haiti, he described the terrible situation that some families are facing. Some families have yet to locate all their missing loved ones. He said that, according to their source, 30 adults and 10 children have lost their lives. The town of Petit Goâve has been swept away. The Petit Goâve River overflowed and washed away houses, taking everything in its path. It reminded me of Hurricane Matthew in 2016, when it destroyed homes and caused many deaths. We know that God is in control, for during hard times, God is at work. Last month, three were saved and seven were baptized in the church of Cess Less. We have four men studying for the ministry.
• Ivory Coast, Africa — The work is progressing well, with seven baptisms and a strong group going out every week to reach the lost. Some people in the church are affected by cold and flu symptoms. The pastor and his wife are doing well and are encouraged by what the Lord is doing among them.
• Benin, Africa — Our missionary, Prince, is doing a wonderful job with the people. He observes growth among the youth in his weekly Bible study group. The group is getting bigger and becoming increasingly hungry for the Word. They gather week after week in a garage, and people come to worship and fellowship with the Lord. They don’t have comfortable chairs, good lighting or air conditioning, but they have the love to go and hear the Word of God.
Prayer request:
• Pray for our brothers and sisters in Haiti who need financial assistance and your prayers.
• Pray for our churches in Africa for strength and encouragement during difficult times.
• Pray for us in Quebec that our people will see the importance of reaching the lost till the Lord returns.
