As the fall semester winds down, excitement is already building for one of our favorite weekends of the year. Homecoming is almost here! Mark your calendars for Jan. 16–17 and make plans to return to campus for two unforgettable days of fun, fellowship and Mustang pride.
We’re starting our homecoming festivities at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, with our annual Chili Cook-Off, a CBC favorite that always brings the heat. Several campus departments will compete for the top spot, and students will also join in on the fun. Alumni are invited to form their own teams, so grab your apron, perfect your recipe and register online to serve up your best bowl of chili. It’s sure to be a deliciously good time!
Join us Friday at 6 p.m. in the A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse for an evening filled with laughter and memories. One of our favorites and best-attended events is our Homecoming Carnival, complete with hot chocolate, funnel cakes, games and inflatables for all ages. It’s the perfect way for alumni, students and families to reconnect and celebrate the CBC community together.
Saturday kicks off with our Generations Breakfast at 9:30 a.m., honoring families who have shared the CBC experience for more than 50 years. We encourage all generational families to join us for this special time of stories, fellowship and celebration of our shared legacy.
At 11 a.m., join us in the Dining Hall for the annual Alumni Luncheon, where we’ll recognize this year’s Alumni Award recipients, enjoy a great meal and give away some fun door prizes.
Then it’s game time! Make plans to be in A.R. Reddin Fieldhouse at 1 p.m. as the Mustangs and Lady Mustangs take on Columbia College. Stay for the Homecoming Court presentation between the women’s and men’s games, a tradition that is always one of the biggest highlights of the day.
Don’t miss a moment of the fun! To register for the Chili Cook-Off, CBC Generations Gathering or Alumni Luncheon, visit cbc.edu/homecoming.
