Obituary: Pastors Wife, Lifeword Team Member Dies

Lori Lee Cline, 53 of Little Rock, passed away Dec. 11. She was a longtime Christian communicator whose life and ministry impacted countless people through radio, media and personal encouragement.

Lori grew up in Springhill, La., where she was active at First Baptist Church and influenced by faithful leaders, including her youth pastor, Donny Parrish. After graduating from Springhill High School, she moved to Conway to attend Central Baptist College. She earned an Associate of Arts degree from CBC in 1992 and later completed her bachelor’s degree in communication from the University of Central Arkansas. While at CBC, she became the school’s first female Student Government Association president. She also met Drew Cline there, and they were married in June 1994.

Lori spent nearly three decades serving in Christian radio, broadcasting and media ministry. Her work included on-air and leadership roles at Christian radio stations in Arkansas and Texas, as well as serving as director of national radio promotions for Word Records in Nashville, where she helped support artists and messages that pointed listeners to Christ.

After returning to Central Arkansas, Lori served as a team member with Lifeword, where she shared devotional content through The Lori Cline Show. Her insightful, uplifting videos have accumulated millions of views and continue to be a source of encouragement to those who watch them. Lori was a bridge, a connector of people. She never met a stranger and had a way of making each person feel valued, whether in person, on the radio or through her devotional videos.

Lori was a member of South City Church, where her husband serves as lead pastor. Drew remembers Lori as the most loving, kind and caring person, someone who delighted in everyday moments and consistently shone the love of Jesus to others. Her life reflected a deep desire for people to know Christ and trust the goodness of God.

Survivors include: her husband of 31 years, Drew Cline; two daughters, Daisy Joy and Jovie May, all of Little Rock; her mother, Mary Nell Lindsey of Springhill, La.; and a brother, Steven (Donna) Carroll of Forney, Texas.

Funeral services were held Dec. 16 at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, with burial at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock. Arrangements were under the direction of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (rollerfuneralhomes.com).
