One of the great privileges of serving at Central Baptist College is gathering each week for chapel. Chapel is not simply another item on the calendar. It is a sacred pause in the rhythm of campus life, a time when students, faculty, and staff gather around the Word of God to be reminded of who we are and why we are here.
As we look ahead to the Spring 2026 semester, our chapel theme will be “Standing on the Promises.” The theme is rooted in II Cor. 1:20: “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us” (NKJV). In a world filled with uncertainty, distraction, and shifting foundations, we want our students to be anchored in the unchanging promises of God. Those promises are not abstract ideals. They are living truths fulfilled in Christ and lived out through His people.
This spring, our chapel speakers will reflect that truth. They will come from a variety of ministries and callings, yet they share a common testimony of God’s faithfulness. Many are alumni of Central Baptist College, now serving faithfully in churches, campuses, and ministries across our association. Their presence is a powerful reminder to our students that God keeps His promises and continues His work through obedient lives.
Our Spring 2026 chapel speakers include:
• January 14: Dr. Jeremy Langley, president, Central Baptist College
• January 21: Jason Goodwin, ABS director, Louisiana Tech University, CBC alumnus
• January 28: Jarrett Maxwell, Student and Discipleship pastor, Pathway Baptist Church, Waxahachie, Texas, CBC alumnus
• February 4: Hudson Turnage, Senior Bible Major, Central Baptist College
• February 11: Dr. Clif Johnson, senior pastor, Garrett Memorial Baptist Church, Hope, CBC alumnus
• February 18: Ryan Anderson, College pastor, Antioch Baptist Church, Conway
• February 25: Dr. David Cox, BMA Theological Seminary
• March 4: Stuart Estes, ABS director, University of Arkansas
• March 11: Don Chandler, senior pastor, Central Baptist Church, Conway, CBC alumnus
• March 18: Donny Parish, executive director, Lifeword Media Ministry
• April 1: Dr. Jeremy Langley, president, Central Baptist College
• April 8: Tony Crocker, pastor, Worden Baptist Church, Bald Knob, CBC alumnus
• April 22: Dr. David Erickson, president, Jacksonville College, CBC alumnus
I want to invite our churches, pastors, alumni, and friends of Central Baptist College to pray for this chapel semester. Please set up a reminder to pray specifically at 1 p.m. on Wednesdays as the chapel services begin. Pray that hearts will be receptive, that the Word will be proclaimed clearly, and that students will leave chapel each week more firmly rooted in Christ. Pray especially for students who have not yet trusted Christ, that they would come to know Him through the faithful witness of our campus community.
At CBC, we remain committed to being Christ-centered, conservative, and affordable. Chapel is one of the clearest expressions of that commitment. As we stand on the promises of God this spring, we do so with confidence that He is faithful, His Word is true, and His work in the lives of our students is far from finished.
