Just The Crumbs Disaster Relief Responds in Ripley Following Winter Storm Fern

Just The Crumbs (JTC) Disaster Relief Ministry is responding to damage caused by Winter Storm Fern, deploying to Ripley, Miss., to provide hot meals and essential supplies to residents who remain without power.

Widespread power outages have disrupted daily life across the area, leaving many households without running water and without a safe way to prepare food. According to local officials and reports, restoration efforts could take weeks in some communities and potentially up to a month in the hardest-hit areas.

JTC has deployed three pallets of bottled water to Ripley and is mobilizing its mobile kitchen to begin serving hot meals to families in need. Teams expect to serve meals immediately upon arrival and will continue to provide food and water as long as the need remains.

“We’re going because people are hurting, and basic necessities are suddenly hard to come by,” the ministry shared. “A warm meal and clean water can make a real difference while the community works to recover.”

Volunteers Needed

Just The Crumbs is urgently requesting volunteers to assist with meal preparation, service, and relief support. Individuals, churches, and community groups willing to help are encouraged to respond as needs continue. Those interested in volunteering or assisting may contact Just The Crumbs at (601) 522-6055 for more information.
