Central Baptist College (CBC) exists for one purpose: to transform lives through Christ-centered higher education. That mission guides every decision we make and fuels our commitment to prepare students not only for successful careers, but for lives of service, leadership, and faithfulness to God’s calling.
Our students are the reason we do what we do, and our alumni are living proof of the impact of a CBC education. They are serving faithfully in churches, classrooms, businesses, and communities across Arkansas and around the world. Ensuring that this legacy continues is both our responsibility and our opportunity.
In June 2023, CBC launched the Legacy Leaders program as a way for alumni and friends to partner with us in sustaining this mission for generations to come. Over the past year, I have been deeply encouraged by those who have stepped forward to make a monthly commitment to CBC. Their faithfulness is already making a meaningful difference.
Legacy Leaders is a sustainable giving initiative designed to sustain, restore, and connect alumni and friends of the college. The program draws inspiration from the Minutemen, a group founded in 1981 under President Hoshaw and named for their readiness to serve when CBC needed them most. That same spirit of commitment and urgency is needed today.
The purpose of Legacy Leaders is simple but vital: to recognize and mobilize those who believe in CBC’s mission and are willing to invest consistently in its future. Giving levels range from Pillar Legacy Leaders at $10 per month to 1952 Leaders at $250 per month, making participation accessible while allowing each gift to have a lasting impact.
The need is real, and the moment is now. This year, 100% of our enrolled students received an institutional scholarship. Some scholarships are very small, and others provide more support. While we celebrate this remarkable milestone, it also underscores the responsibility before us. Providing meaningful financial aid while maintaining academic excellence requires faithful, ongoing support.
Your monthly gift through Legacy Leaders directly supports students, strengthens institutional stability, and allows CBC to remain a Christ-centered, affordable option for families seeking an education grounded in biblical truth. Every contribution, regardless of size, plays a role in shaping lives and advancing God’s work through this institution.
I ask our alumni and friends to prayerfully consider joining the Legacy Leaders program. Together, we can ensure that CBC not only continues its mission but thrives in the years ahead.
If you feel led to invest in the future of CBC, I invite you to join Legacy Leaders and partner with us as we invest in our students. To learn more or enroll, visit cbc.edu/legacyleaders.
