Pastors, church leaders and spouses, we understand that ministry can be rewarding, but it can also be exhausting, isolating and sometimes quite relentless. If you’re feeling tired, overwhelmed or simply in need of a fresh wind and some fellowship, we want to personally invite you and your spouse to take a few days away at the Re:Charge Leadership Retreat, Sept. 29-Oct. 1. Hosted by Healthy Church Solutions, your BMA church and leader health ministry, this retreat is designed to provide pastors and ministry leaders with space to breathe, refocus and care for your soul and marriage. All of this is done alongside others who truly understand the joys and challenges of leadership. Re:Charge is a small conference with you in mind! We create space for deeper connection, special moments of prayer, and a safe environment for sharing struggles. Our round table setup encourages conversation and intimacy, and our BMA ministries will be present to celebrate you with gifts of appreciation.
What’s different? This year, we’re rotating between three churches, or “recharge stations.” We will visit three nearby churches in the Memphis area — Calvary Baptist (Horn Lake, Miss.), Mosaic Church (Memphis, Tenn.) and Central Church (South Haven, Miss.). Each stop highlights unique churches using different ministry strategies to reach the communities God has called them to.
Here are some highlights to look forward to:
• Powerful Teaching — Sam Rainer, lead pastor at West Bradenton Baptist Church in Fla., Church Answers president and co-founder of Rainer Publishing, will speak directly into the realities of ministry life.
• Inspiring Worship — Worship concert and testimony with Michael O’Brien (a special artist with multiple number 1 and top 5 Christian singles) and Kent Wiles (worship leader from First Baptist Church in Rogers).
• Men’s Breakout Panel — Larry Barker, Ali Chambers, Anders Lee and Drew Cline.
• Women’s Breakout — Lori Cline will share her journey of faith and perseverance through cancer.
• Space to Rest — Free time on Tuesday afternoon and early evening to simply relax with your spouse or explore Memphis (BBQ, Beale Street, Graceland, shopping and more).
• Evening Fun — Each night at 9 p.m., join the Baptist Trumpet for Game Night at the Homewood Suites conference room in South Haven. Family Feud (Monday night), board games and snacks provided. All attendees are welcome to join!

• Monday, Sept. 29 (6 p.m.) — Dinner & Worship at Calvary Baptist (Horn Lake, Miss.) with artist Michael O’Brien.
• Tuesday, Sept. 30 (morning) — Breakfast, Breakouts & Session One at Mosaic Church (Memphis, Tenn.).
• Tuesday, Sept. 30 (evening) — Session Two at Central Church (South Haven, Miss.).
• Wednesday, Oct. 1 (morning) — Closing Session at Central Church.
