SPOTLIGHT — Siripong & Jessie Yaebeang • Thailand

      • My Latest Book — I’m excited to let you know that my newest (fifth) book came out right on Christmas Day! This is the book on parables that we mentioned to you before. It has its own Thai name, but the English title is “Earthly Stories with Heavenly Meaning: Finding Treasures in Jesus’ Parables.” This is volume 1 of 2. We first thought about doing it in one book, but a 500-page book might be intimidating, so we are separating it into 250-page volumes for now. (Lord willing, the second one will come out later this year). These books expound on the meaning and application of Jesus’ most famous parables. The target audience is anyone who desires to study, teach, or preach the parables. At the end of each chapter, there are also discussion questions. Out of all the books, this is the one I worked the longest and hardest with hundreds of footnotes, so it’s the book I’m most excited about! I was writing this book in the last days of my dad’s life, so I dedicated it to him. Please pray that this will be another helpful tool for Thai Churches/Christians.

      • 2025 Christmas Outreach & Celebrations — The Christmas season has always been a special time where we enjoy celebrating with the church and also where we get to go out to communities and tell others about Christ! We went to two communities this year. There were about 80 people in the first community we went to, and about 25 in the second one (a family that attends our church lives there). We sang a Christmas song, explained the meaning of Christmas, did a few activities with both kids and adults, and then gave away some gifts. It was a joy to meet and talk with several people in both communities. For several of them, it’s the first time they have heard Christmas songs or learned why Christians celebrate Christmas. They want us to come back, so we will try to go back soon.

The following Sunday, we celebrated Christmas with our church people, and we had several guests. This was an exciting time because it was the first Christmas we celebrated in this new building. Everyone helped decorate the sanctuary a little bit, and we were able to enjoy this day and visit with everyone. We sang songs, read Scripture about Christ’s birth, enjoyed a fellowship meal, had games for kids, and also did a gift exchange with the adults. It was also the first time the children took turns reading passages (Luke 2:1-21) in front of everyone!

I asked a non-Christian guest if he had any questions or thoughts about the sermon. He immediately said, “I never knew about how Jesus was born (virgin birth).”

      • New Worship Team — The Lord has provided someone who can come and help our church with leading the music! He can play several instruments, and everyone at our church agreed that he sings very well. We feel like he is probably one of the best ones we have had so far. He wants to help other people in our church improve in the area of music as well. Moreover, he has also shown interest in ministry and wants to do an internship with us. We will see how everything goes with him. His name is Miles. Please pray for him.

      • A Team from Singapore — We were blessed to have four people from Singapore fly in for a few days to help our church with the different Christmas events. Two of them came here last year, and they can speak and read Thai a little. They even practiced and sang a special song, “Jesus Loves Me,” in Thai on Sunday. They were all very helpful, and the kids had a blast with them. We are greatly encouraged by their presence and their heart for the Lord and for the Thai people.

         • Christian Articles — I usually write short articles on various topics for Thai churches and Christians whenever I can. You can find them at tinyurl.com/DrSiripongY if you are interested in checking them out. The website can auto-translate those articles, but I’m not sure how good the translation is.

         • On Turning 40! — For those who know me, you might remember that my parents know the year that I was born, but not my birthday (They just remember that it was “a cold night”, which could be anywhere from November to January. Keep in mind that my parents never went to school, so they are illiterate). But the government had to put something on the paper, so January 1st was the date they gave me, and it’s the date I stick with! So, on January 1st, I officially turned 40! I moved to Bangkok in 2004 for high school and college, and came to the States and met many of you in 2010-2014, before returning here to serve the Lord in June 2014. We have been here for over 11 years now! Considering everything over the years, it sure does feel longer than 40 years! But looking back, God’s grace and sovereignty shine brighter than anything else. I’m thankful for all of you that God has used in my life! Thank you.

Ways to Pray for Us in 2026

People and churches often ask us for ways to pray for us, and we always appreciate it. As we look ahead to 2026, here are some things you can pray for us, and please let us know how we can pray for you as well:

         • Please pray for the growth of everyone at our church in every dimension.

         • Please pray that God will save Mr. Yo, who has been attending our church.

         • Please pray that the Lord will grow our church so that we have enough people to register it legally.

         • Please pray for me as I’m praying about what to preach next at our church.

•Please pray for my weekly studying, preparing, and teaching God’s word in various ways and on different platforms.

      • Please pray for all the outreaches we will be doing and the people we will meet this year

      • Please pray that the Lord will save some souls this year and add to His kingdom

      • Please pray for me as I’m finishing the second volume of Jesus’ parable and submitting the manuscript within the next few months.

      • Please pray for me as I will slowly start working on an Ephesians commentary.

      • Please pray as we are looking at some dates and planning for the 2026 Expository Preaching Seminar.

      • Please pray for intern(s) we will have this year.

      • Please pray for Jessie and the boys as they continue to make adjustments to a new school life routine, and that they will be a light for people at the school.

      • Please pray for Titus, Noah, and Roman’s little souls that their hearts will give heed to the things of the Lord.

      • Please pray for our marriage and parenting that God will be magnified.

      • Please pray that we will be faithful in all things, whether in private or public.

      • Please pray that our relationship and communion with God will continue to grow.

“Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all” (2 Thess 3:16 NASB1995).
