Dan Williams – We are all set for our spring meeting. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the CBC Community Room, and there is no registration fee. Our normal format for this meeting is to meet on Friday night, sleep on the floor of the CBC Dining Hall and have our benefit (for the Arkansas Galilean CBC Nixon/Hornaday Endowed Scholarship) basketball tournament on Saturday morning. That is not appropriate given the current situation with the virus, so we will only meet on Saturday, with no tournament, and conduct our meeting much as we normally do on Friday evening. Our state officers met in January to plan our 2022 meetings and camps. The theme for 2022 is “Faithful Through the Fire” from Dan. 3:17-18, and the sub-themes are:
• Spring meeting — “Faithful through Temptation” from Genesis 39 and I Cor. 10:13
• Summer Camp at Ponca — “Faithful to the Gospel” from II Cor. 11:24-29 and Acts 5:40-42
• Fall Camp at Beaverfork — “Faithful through Trials” from Acts 6-7 and Daniel 3.
The Worship and Praise service will take place on Saturday with Eli Semedo serving as our speaker and Galilean Will Sellers serving as our worship music leader.
At the close of our worship and praise service, the 2022 Arkansas Mr. Galilean Senior and Mr. Galilean Junior will be announced.
