Romania goes to Africa!
As many of you know, I flew directly from the United States to Zambia, Africa, where I joined our team of nine Romanians and seven Americans for two weeks of service projects, VBS and fun! This trip was one of the greatest blessings for us, and as I have reflected on the last few weeks since we returned home to Romania, I believe I have identified my favorite part, which I would like to share with you all.
Five of our nine Romanians were teenagers from our Backyard Bible Study group. Watching these teens fall in love with missions and serving was phenomenal! Because in many cases, they speak English better than their parents do, they got a front-row seat in teaching and leading during VBS! They truly stepped up and led the way, and I got to watch them go from nervous and timid to excited about reaching the village each day. Not only that, but we have also seen them step up in the last several weeks here in Romania. They are becoming irreplaceable leaders in our ministry, and we are incredibly proud of them!
Summertime = Kids’ Programs!
We were blessed with a VSM team that came and served with us for several days right after we returned from Zambia. We were able to conduct a one-day VBS in several villages, including Tarian, where we hope to plant our next church. Please continue to pray for this village as we host another VBS this week for four days.
May your summer be restful and adventurous and full of service to the Lord!
Please join me in praying forthe Tarian VBS this week. Our Backyard Bible Study Teens are leading and are very nervous! Pray for them as they continue to step up in faith! Also, pray for us to make good contacts in Tarian through VBS and other programs this summer.
Join me in praising God for our time in Zambia. It was such a blessing! Our team really stepped up and did an amazing job. We are incredibly proud of all they accomplished in such a short time. Also, praise God for the VSM team, which was a huge encouragement to us!
Thank you for reading and praying. If you would like to learn more, you can visit my blog, Candra in Romania, at candrainromania.wordpress.com. If the Lord leads you to give to this ministry, you can do so at candrainromania.wordpress.com/become-a-partner.
